My Approach

Do you feel alone or misunderstood? Are some days especially hard to feel hopeful? I believe every person has strength that can sometimes feel difficult to find. I approach therapy in a way of helping you identify your strengths and make sense of your past experiences so that you can live more fully in the present and begin building the future that you want. I specialize in providing trauma-focused psychotherapy to adults who have experienced or are experiencing trauma/PTSD, are having relationship issues, and/or facing low self-esteem.

Using humor, warmth, and empathy, I partner with you to identify your strengths and help you achieve personal growth through exploration and curiosity about the root causes behind your behaviors. Together, we work to understand your early life experiences and relationships with others in a nonjudgmental and supportive environment.

In our time together, I will provide a confidential and respectful space for us to examine, discuss, and work through any challenges you are experiencing, including but not limited to:

Anxiety & Stress

Depression

Self Esteem

Family Conflict

Divorce

Relationship Issues

Blended Families

Adoption

Sexual Abuse

Trauma & PTSD

Life Adjustments

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you seeing people in person?

At this time, all of my sessions are currently virtual, provided through a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform due to COVID-19.

 How do I get started?

I offer a free 15-minute consultation to hear more about what you’re looking for, share more about my style, and answer any other questions you might have. If we determine that we’re a good fit and would like to work together, I will email you a secure link to complete the initial intake forms and schedule our first session.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider which means that I am not paneled with any insurance company. You may be able to receive reimbursement through your insurance company for behavioral health benefits, as many of my clients do. I strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to determine your eligibility for an “out-of-network clinical social worker”. I am happy to provide useful questions to ask when contacting your insurance to determine eligibility. At the end of the month, I provide an invoice (called a superbill) that details all of the required information your insurance company would need to provide reimbursement.
